Tour dates for Nathaniel Robin Mann and The Great Park are now available, only a day after the tour started, which is pretty efficient for us. The two remaining Dead Rats, Daniel Merrill and Robin Alderton, play A Festival of Untidiness in Reading on Saturday, in their Ghostband incarnation.

Those of you with an antigen calendar on the mantelpiece will already know that March is Nathaniel Robin Mann month. Appropriately enough, he is heading out on a 10-date tour to sing, play and whittle his log for the people of Switzerland and Germany. He will be playing the majority of dates with The Great Park and the tour kicks off on 6 March 2013.

Still feeling disappointed that we reached the end of the Mayan Long Count calendar without a global catastrophe? Fear not, a new calendar has been discovered! This one ends ominously on 31 December 2013 – so we probably only have one year to live!

As you may have noticed from reading our Facebook page, the first pressing of the Caveat Emptor 2 compilation CD had defective disc art and is being repressed. Rather than chuck them all in a skip, we gave out a shedload at the Godspeed You! Black Emperor / Dead Rat Orchestra gig at the HMV Forum on Monday night.

26th June brought the Sons of Joy to the Ipswich Fringe festival for what was widely rumoured to be their final performance... for a while at least. Matt Simpkins (voice, fiddle and drum) heads off to Oxfordshire in August, to study to become an Anglican priest. Daniel Merrill (backing shouts, violin and stomping) is also leaving the fair county of Essex, to study in London.

Animateddog's Scraps 2 - The Gathered Flecks of Hope & Sorrow by Nathaniel Robin Mann is now available via our webstore. This is a fine addition to the antigen catalogue - a 20 track overview of Nathan's work to date, including eight new pieces recorded in April of this year, specifically for this release.

We are REALLY thrilled to announce our latest release: Animateddog's Scraps 2 - The Gathered Flecks of Hope and Sorrow by Nathaniel Robin Mann. This is a limited edition glass-mastered CD, mounted in an oversize (21cm x 21cm) heavy stock booklet, containing lyrics and artwork by the Mann himself.

Fiery fiddle duo Sons of Joy release their debut CD Songs of Joy through antigen records on 14 November 2011. They are launching it with a concert in aid of Amnesty International and CO1 at Holy Trinity Church, Colchester CO1 1JR (next to HMV and the library) on Saturday 12 November at 7.30pm. This will be the first opportunity to pick up a copy of their outstanding new album, at a discount price, two days before the official release date!
