Songs of Joy CD launch at Holy Trinity Church in Colchester

Fiery fiddle duo Sons of Joy release their debut CD Songs of Joy through antigen records on 14 November 2011. They are launching it with a concert in aid of Amnesty International and CO1 at Holy Trinity Church, Colchester CO1 1JR (next to HMV and the library) on Saturday 12 November at 7.30pm.

This will be the first opportunity to pick up a copy of their outstanding new album, at a discount price, two days before the official release date!

Support is provided by Nathaniel Robin Mann of Dead Rat Orchestra, playing a solo acoustic show as his alter ego, animateddog.

Tickets for the launch gig, priced £7, are available now from www.colchesterartscentre.com or 01206 500900

Update: The Sons of Joy album launch at Holy Trinity Church raised £408.10 for Amnesty International and the CO1 cafe run by volunteers at the church. Congratulations to the boys and Nathaniel Robin Mann, who delivered a fantastic performance on the night. And thanks to everyone who showed up to support a good cause. A special mention must go to the audience member who walked out in disgust and demanded his donation back, because he wasn’t allowed to drink alcohol in the church. It’s political correctness gone mad, I tell you.
