Nathaniel Robin Mann on tour

Those of you with an antigen calendar on the mantelpiece will already know that March is Nathaniel Robin Mann month. Appropriately enough, he is heading out on a 10-date tour to sing, play and whittle his log for the people of Switzerland and Germany. He will be playing the majority of dates with The Great Park and the tour kicks off on 6 March 2013.

Dead Rat Orchestra update

We are pleased to let you know that production is underway on the Dead Rat Orchestra EPs, which should be available in time for their tour with Godspeed You! Black Emperor. The tour kicks off at Teatro Kapital in Madrid on 30 October and comes to the HMV Forum in London on 4 November (though that date has already sold out).

Farewell for now, Sons of Joy

26th June brought the Sons of Joy to the Ipswich Fringe festival for what was widely rumoured to be their final performance... for a while at least. Matt Simpkins (voice, fiddle and drum) heads off to Oxfordshire in August, to study to become an Anglican priest. Daniel Merrill (backing shouts, violin and stomping) is also leaving the fair county of Essex, to study in London.

Sons of Joy, Sealionwoman and BangStick at Ronnie’s Bar, McGintys in Ipswich

We are thrilled to announce a very special live concert at Ronnie's Bar, upstairs at PJ McGintys in Ipswich. This may be the last show we promote at McGintys, as the landlord, Veronica Chambers, is leaving at the end of August. She has played a major role supporting bands and promoters in Ipswich over the last 3 years. Her open-minded attitude to music has seen the venue play host to everyone from Ed Sheeran to John Bowers.
