Nathaniel Robin Mann previews Rough Music at the Sound Lounge

We were delighted to be asked to collaborate with the Pacitti Company to curate an evening of music and discussion at the Sound Lounge in Ipswich. As you have probably gathered, nepotism is central to our working model and we obviously volunteered one of our best mates for this opportunity. Luckily for all concerned, we suggested Nathaniel Mann.

No details as to exactly what he intends to bring along in his suitcase for the show. Previous performances have featured mbira thumb piano, phono-fiddle, bells, pigeon whistles and wooden logs. We do know the show will include an exclusive preview of Rough Music – his final commission as embedded composer with the Pitt Rivers Museum and Oxford Contemporary Music. Dead Rat Dan Merrill has promised to put in an appearance for a fully risk-assessed performance piece.
