Nathaniel Robin Mann and Dan Merrill on The Verb
Nathaniel Robin Mann joins Nicholson Baker and Lynne Murphy as a guest on Ian McMillan’s The Verb on Radio 3, tonight at 10pm. He will perform songs with fellow Dead Rat Daniel Merrill, inspired by the robbers’ cant, the secret language of thieves, which the boys originally came across whilst researching the music for a film about the Tyburn Gallows.
Update: Pedants and verb-lovers were no doubt left tearing at their beards, as the broadcast featured the frequent and almost criminal misuse of the word “hung”. Alas, the podcast is no longer available…
