Mick Squalor at the Pulse Festival
Last year, we were asked to curate the musical programme for the Pulse Festival. Highlights included John Callaghan in his pants and Dead Rat Orchestra wading into the audience with their axes and hacking a log to pieces in the middle of the New Wolsey Theatre bar. Unsurprisingly, we have not been asked back. But, it seems they haven’t entirely learned their lesson and tonight Mr Mick Squalor will be providing the entertainment. He’ll be performing in the bar, straight after the Suitcase Prize Awards Ceremony… approx. 10.30pm. And it’s free!
Update: Predictably chaos ensued, as Mick Squalor found himself playing the largest and most prestigious venue of his solo career – the New Wolsey Theatre main stage! Admittedly, this only happened because he led the audience in a mass trespass into the main auditorium for the encore of Anita the Translator. Thanks to Jeff Higgott for the photo.
