Nathaniel Robin Mann comes to antigen
We are REALLY thrilled to announce our latest release: Animateddog’s Scraps 2 – The Gathered Flecks of Hope and Sorrow by Nathaniel Robin Mann. This is a limited edition glass-mastered CD, mounted in an oversize (21cm x 21cm) heavy stock booklet, containing lyrics and artwork by the Mann himself. The CD collects together live tracks and studio work from his two previous online releases – Animateddog Does and Scraps – all of which will be available on CD for the first time.
If this wasn’t exciting enough, Nathan has re-recorded four of his best songs, one fantastically atmospheric ukelele instrumental and three crazy mbira thumb-piano freak-outs specifically for this release! And it contains the previously unheard full-length version of live favourite Whip Crack Away.
Nathan is perhaps best known as one third of the frankly uncategorisable Dead Rat Orchestra, who are readying themselves for a national tour to support the release of The Guga Hunters of Ness soundtrack on Critical Heights. He has recently collaborated with Lara Baladi, composing Hope – The Donkey Symphony, which premiered at the 1st Kiev Arts Bianniel in Ukraine last week.
