Back in 2015, Dead Rat Orchestra and director James Holcombe took their Tyburnia collaboration on an 18-date tour of the UK, preforming at venues close to sites of execution. Holcombe created a psychogeographical tour diary, using the same analogue editing and photo-chemical processing techniques he employed on the Tyburnia film. It completely escaped our notice until now.
If you happen to be reading this on the day of posting (10th April 2018) and you live within easy reach of London Town, you may still have the opportunity to see the the debut performance of shell shim shim shell – the latest audio/visual collaboration between Holcombe and Nathaniel Mann. It takes place at the Horse Hospital. Details here.
