Webstore open for business!

We are re-opening our webstore on a trial basis from today. We’ve heeded the clear message from the UK government that we are expected to sacrifice ourselves for the good of the British economy and we are stepping up, ready to be hailed as heroes by the Daily Mail and given the clap by way of appreciation by the British public every Thursday night.

There are some real reasons for re-opening as well. Some people around the world are facing a far greater threat from COVID-19 than we are at antigen HQ, and we are keen to help out with some fundraising initiatives. So, we plan to sell some CDs and give them the money. The first fundraiser is to support the Wauja indigenous community in Mato Grosso, Brazil. See Wauja Songs from Upper Xingu by Akari for more information about this.

A second reason is price gouging on Discogs. We’ve seen copies of antigen 7″ singles on sale for £29.95 and £39.95 on Discogs this week. These are singles that were available from us a couple of months ago and we still have copies in stock – original, mint-condition first pressings. So, feel free to pick up your ‘rare’ SuperGlu and Gaffa Tape Sandy singles from us for the original retail price (and then sell them on Discogs for £30 if you like).

If you don’t want to use PayPal or you are experiencing any difficulties our webstore, please try our Bandcamp page. All releases are available on Bandcamp and you can listen to them there in full to avoid buyer’s remorse. But they will take a 15% cut, so please use this site if you can.

We will review the situation in a couple of weeks and close the webstore again if it looks as though continuing to trade is putting people at unnecessary risk.

Thanks for your patience. Stay safe out there!
