Potatoes at the ready… It’s the antigen Christmas Album
Today is Advent Sunday, which for many of you is the first day of the liturgical year, signalling the beginning of Advent – a time to prepare for the Nativity of Christ.
But for us, it signifies the the beginning of a Christmas tradition of our own, dating back to 2014AD – the annual release of the antigen Christmas Album. The album features 15 songs of solitude, supercontainers, service stations and extraterrestrial encounters… a Christmas message from the Queen and an 18th century carol penned by an atheist amputee. It comes with numerous inserts, a pigeon-themed Christmas card drawn by Dorian Wood and is bound in handmade, potato-print wrapping paper (contents may vary, depending on what I remember to wrap). The perfect present.
This Christmas novelty record is only available during Advent (29 November to 24 December 2020), after which it will disappear once more, until Christmas 2021. You can find it in our webstore and on Bandcamp. We are out of lockdown and Suffolk is in Tier 2, so we are ready to start shipping CDs again on Wednesday 2 December!
