Switch Fringe Festival – Freakscene all-dayer
A Switch Fringe festival highlight, as the Freakscene shoegaze disco boys present a day of drone, low-brow noise, post rock and wig-out psychedelic soundscapes at the Royal Oak pub in Ipswich. Promising 13 bands in ten hours, this event will be an interesting logistical exercise for organiser Matt Catling. In addition to Matt’s solo shoegaze project Bride, this all-dayer features fundamentalist guitar trio Tonesucker, sweaty pop septet Dingus Khan and a semi-acoustic drone set from These Are End Times, during which drummer Dom will be forced to bow a Tibetan singing bowl. And the Telescopes are playing.
