KaddalMerrill UK tour
Dead Rat Orchestra may be having a quiet year as a band, but its members have been far from idle. While Nathaniel Mann has been earning Air Miles jetting around the world for the BBC, Daniel Merrill has been busy writing and recording a new album with Egyptian academic and researcher Fayrouz Kaddal.
‘Rain Over Nubia’ is out on antigen records on 12th August and, to coincide with its release, the duo have some live shows lined up in the UK. They will hopefully be backed by one or more of the master percussionists featured on the album. But with the UKVA’s hostile attitude to visa applications from certain countries, who can be sure?
